Yoga provides a holistic approach to life.  Most people think of flexibility when they hear yoga.  Sure, it's good for that but so much more than that too.  Thanks to yoga I've improved physically, mentally, emotionally, and I've gained a connection with my spiritual side.  I recognize yoga as a goldmine of self care.  I often wonder why everyone doesn't do yoga?

I decided I had to share what I had learned with others.  I set out to get certified through the Himalayan Institute Teachers Association.  They have amazing teachers and the classes were tough!  I obtained both my 200 and 500 hour certifications through HITA and continue to study with them.  Yoga is a journey both personally and professionally for me.  HITA provides me with support on my path.

I teach classes to beginning and advanced students in the Indianapolis area.  I show beginners how to move mindfully to avoid injury.  I show the injured how to move in a healing way.  I help advanced students push to a new level.  I provide a safe space for all students to find that quiet place within that leads to a clearer mind.

I believe we can all achieve and maintain some level of wellness.  Yoga gives us tools to reach that goal.  My job is to help others explore the possibilities.  I love my job!

Namaste,

Melissa
